Copeyre Canoë

The Dordogne river crosses 3 departments: Corrèze, Lot and Dordogne.

COPEYRE CANOË, this is 140 km of possible descent on the Dordogne to discover its differences and its richnesses.

• To practice the Canoe activity, it is imperative to know to swim !
• The Dordogne is a river accessible to all.

Free hiring of canoe (2, 3 or 4 places) or of kayak (single-seat).

All the material of navigation is provided :
Canoes or kayaks, life jackets, paddles, cans tight.
For the excursions in the canoe over several days, we provide the tents and mattress foams, and the transport of the luggage on request.

For all the circuits, bus COPEYRE is free.

For any hiring of canoe, Copeyre offers the entry to the water-park Quercyland and the entry with the Labyrinth of the Hermit THE VERY SAME DAY UNTIL 20:00.

You wish to carry out canoe excursions of several days ?

Some examples of course :

• With the day, possible navigation of 9:30 to 18:30 :
  • Copeyre – Souillac (28 km), duration 4 to 5 hours.
  • Meyronne – Souillac (18 km), duration 3 to 4 hours.
  • Lacave – Souillac (15 km), duration 2 to 3 hours.
• Excursion of several days :
  • Argentat – Souillac, duration 5 days.
  • Argentat – Beynac (140 km) , duration 7 days.

The Dordogne river is classified I/II by the French federation of Canoe-Kayak.
It does not present a particular difficulty and remains accessible to all.
It however is recommended to comply with some elementary rules of safety :

• It is imperative TO KNOW TO SWIM.
• The port of the LIFE-JACKET is obligatory.
• The minors must be accompanied.
• Choose the distance from your course according to your physical condition.
• You regularly wet the nape of the neck to avoid the risks of drowning.
• Pass to broad from the branches, tree trunks and piles of bridge.
• Respect the fishermen.
• Remain in the middle of the river.
